The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates the efforts of the multidisciplinary treatment team for the patients under his/her care. S/he is accountable for patient assessment, planning of care, intervening as patient condition changes, and evaluating the care and treatments the patient is receiving to determine if the patient is achieving the expected outcomes. She is responsible for administration of medications and treatments, reviewing test results, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the highest quality patient care. *
 

Shawnee Mission Medical Center is a 504 bed hospital located in the suburbs of Kansas City, Kansas.  We are a faith based, not for profit hospital.  We have been serving the area of Johnson County for almost 50 years.


Our Emergency Department has 40 beds and is only 2 1/2 year old.  It is a beautiful facility with spacious rooms.  We are the busiest  ER on the Kansas side of the metro Kansas City area.


We were the first accredited chest pain center in the city.  We are not a trauma center but see a wide variety of patients ranging from the new born to the geriatric population.
We provide a comprehensive benefit package, including tuition reinbursement to advance your degree, onsite child care and 403b for retirement.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced ER nurse with at least one year of experience.
