Director, Revenue Cycle Management

Job Description

This position is located in Palm Springs, FL

The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for revenuecycle operations for all District sites.

EssentialFunctions:

Manages the billing and collection functions forall business lines in multiple locations. Works in remote locations to ensure visibility and accessibility.

Collaborates withbusiness units to improve existing billing and collection processes, identifiesopportunities to enhance reimbursement and develops meaningful, accuratereporting packages.

Develops policies and procedures for billing andcollecting staff. Monitors and improves processes for account management andcustomer service. 

Prepares regularand ad hoc reports related to revenue performance including aging schedules,cash receipts, payment posting, net revenue analysis by payer, denials, DNFB,short pay accounts, credit balances, over-payments, etc.

Assists theDirector of Budget/DSS in the completion of financial impact studies,pro-formas, and other financial analyses for business growth.   Provides revenue forecasts during thebudgeting process.

Performs variousanalyses on revenue (gross, net and per unit), pricing (impact studies, payercomparisons, rate variances), and reimbursement at the direction of management.

Provides feedbackto revenue cycle managers/supervisors to maximize performance of front-end andback-end processes.  Keeps procedurescurrent, educates staff on industry changes, implements standards that improvepatient flow, enhance insurance eligibility and reduces bad debt.



Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, orrelated field required. Master�s degree in the same fields preferred.

Experience: 

Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in an equivalentposition required.  Management ofaccounts receivable in an integrated network required.

Certification: 

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or othermedical coding certifications preferred.
