DescriptionLooking for part -time and full-time nurse(s) to work in our hospice team.
Responsible to the Hospice Clinical Supervisor for implementation, coordination, and supervision of all aspects of the delivery of patient/family services, consistent with agency policies. As a member of the team, the nurse works under the general direction of the Hospice Officer and the Attending physician/Hospice Medical Director in the provision of care to maximize comfort and health of patients and families.
Requirements
- A registered professional nurse in the State of Massachusetts. A community health nurse preferred with a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
- An RN with at least one year of nursing experience in the community within the past six years.
- Demonstrated willingness and/or ability to manage all aspects of terminal care with specific expertise in crisis intervention, family counseling, pain and symptom control and bedside nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive, sensitive approach to peers, patients and families.
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
