Administrative Assistant-Nursing Management

Description

The Administrative Assistant maintains efficient operation of the Department(s)' office by assisting in organizing the workload and the forms needed by the Divisional Director, Department Directors, Managers, and other team members. He/she promotes effective communication internally and externally with insurance representatives and outside vendors. Accurate computer input of financial info, maintains accurate licensures of service representatives and community resource lists. Provides effective clerical support for all Departments served.



Requirements
    • Certification/Licensure
    • Education
      • High School diploma and equivalent.
    • Experience
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to interact effectively with clinical staff. Accurate typing skills. Knowledge of computers and in depth knowledge of medical terminology, as well as, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
      • Proficient computer knowledge.
    • Specialized Training
    • Other Skills/Competencies
      • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
