The Billing Coordinator III is responsible for overseeing and supporting RCM’s revenue capture and quality control initiatives ensuring corporate goals are being upheld. 



Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the deficient record process
  • Manage and maintain database for tracking and reporting
  • Complies weekly/monthly reports and scorecards that identify trends to management team and other departments as needed
  • Assists in the ongoing evaluation of records and training methods to promote continual improvement of revenue recognition
  • Provides feedback to promote increased performance and education of Coordinators and Production Floor staff
  • Act as the liaison between Site Billing and Production Floor areas proactively identifying and trends
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality review activities and provide recommended process changes
  • Utilize methods, procedures and metrics needed to ensure that quality standards are attained in order to optimize revenue capture
  • Oversee and manages the non-billable process to ensure all actions are taken to capture revenue
  • Serve as back-up and overflow for Site Billing & Production Floor areas and daily, weekly and monthly reporting as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
  • Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
  • Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 or more years of related experience

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in creating data extracts and/or reports is preferred
  • Experience in Healthcare Medical Records / Billing Systems preferred
