Position Summary:
Conduct behavioral health evaluations of individuals who suffer mental disturbances or present with a wide range of emotional disturbances. Initiates the provision of services depending on the outcome of the evaluation. The counselor would also provide care management services, referral, and advocacy, as recommended in the assessment.
Position Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with a specialty in Mental Health. Two (2) years supervised experience providing various behavioral health direct services performed at a satisfactory level
- Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Native American cultures
- Appropriate State of Alaska licensure required or must be able to obtain it within 3 months of hire
- LPC or LCSW preferred
- Computer literacy required
- Supervise Behavioral health Aides
