Now Hiring - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Flexible weekly hours available in addition to available weekend hours.  Areas including East Longmeadow, Holyoke, Westfield, Northampton, Greenfield, and Hamden. 




Dually Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Home Health Aides in Massachusetts are welcome to apply!



Hours: Per diem (as needed/on-call basis)

Job Requirements

The Certified Nurse Aide is responsible for, but not limited to:



  1. Greets patients in a friendly and welcoming manner. Creates a positive first impression. Smiles, projects a positive attitude.

  2. Through the continuous improvement standards of practice and by providing a safe and secure environment the patient will be assured a sense of safety and well-being, free from risk and harm.

  3. Gives and/or assists with assigned personal care tasks.

  4. Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.

  5. Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on Ascend's preferred method of documentation

  6. Assists patient with mobility

  7. Assists patient in performing bowel and bladder functions

  8. Follows Agency policy and procedures

  9. Nurture by supporting all patients. Acts with courtesy, care, concern and compassion. Educates others by sharing knowledge and expertise.



Education:


High School Diploma or Equivalent



Professional Experience:


  • Current CNA license in the State of Massachusetts

  • Dually Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Home Health Aides in Massachusetts Welcome!

  • At least 1 yr experience in hospice

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
