Clinical Record Reviewer- Medical Compliance



Duties:



Responsible for assisting with the assurance of compliance with external and department standards regarding case records.  Facilitate the promotion of effective, efficient delivery of services via conducting Root Cause Analyses of Sentinel events, review & analysis of data related to chart reviews & consultation with program staff. Routine and non-routine chart reviews, including special investigations & to ensure standards. Use electronic health records to monitor compliance. Meet with staff to review findings and improvements.



Knowledge of the following



* Department case records standards, Medicaid and other third party payers.



*Electronic health records, knowledge of State and Local Human Rights policies and procedures.   Assists in the processing of critical incident and complaints, and as needed with



*Mental health and substance abuse and intellectual disability services for adults and children. Experience working with computers, computer report and spreadsheets, monitoring and utilizing date.





Salary $26.05

Job Requirements

Qualifications



Licensure as a health professional or RN preferred.  Minimum qualifications of education (at a bachelor’s degree)and experience equivalent to nine years in the fields utilizing the knowledge , skills and ability  and associated with such positions as clinician, counselor , social worker.
Employees are required to provide the following at time of hire, certified college transcripts, VA or NC driver’s license, Car insurance and DMV record.
