Safely navigates ambulance to patient's location.
Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary.
Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources.
Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.
Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives.
Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.
High School Graduate required. However, an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.Two to four years of education at an accredited college preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of field experience preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
