Summary:Under the leadership of VP for PDS Ventures, this position will assist the Ventures organization in directing and overseeing the strategic financial functions of the organization. Development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the operational implementation of strategic initiatives will also be an important component of this functionResponsibilities
Responsibilities:*Translate NPVs/Proformas for new business ventures(in conjunction with business partner and/or management company, as needed) into operational and capital budgets for each New Business Venture.*Create/oversee the development of NPVs, Proformas and capital budgets(in conjunction with business partner and/or management company, as needed) for expansion of existing New Business Ventures.*Prepare and present financial budgets and reporting to the appropriate boards and/or management committees for each business venture, as needed*Partner with financial operations to establish the correct financial reporting structure related to roll-ups of data required and other business needs.*Identify the appropriate VP of finance (Medical Centers or PMG) each new business venture most appropriately identifies with and coordinate with them for purposes of anticipating and responding to financial results and processes within finance.*Prepare/review Board/JOC reporting (in conjunction with business partner and/or management company, as needed) for each new business venture. Identify opportunities for improvement and areas of success to the VP of New Business Ventures and provide assistance in presentation of these materials as needed.*Develop and manage relationships with finance representatives of business partners and other parties (i.e. management companies) as needed to help monitor financial results.*Review financial results for each new business venture and assist finance with insights and needed journal entries related to month end financial close. *Create/oversee and manage (in conjunction with business partner and/or management company, as needed) LRFP as well as operational and capital budgets associated with established new business ventures.*Review and provide preliminary approval of invoices related to new business ventures.*Identifies and assists with implementation of required changes to financial policies and procedures affecting operations to ensure proper internal controls for organizations in partnership with PHS.Qualifications
*Requires in-depth knowledge of the healthcare finance field, corporate finance techniques, budgeting, and a general working knowledge of all areas of the organization.
Preferred experience with outpatient settings and/or new business start up.
Demonstrated aptitude in leading complex financial analysis and problem solving.
Excellent leadership skills and experience in directing all aspects of a global enterprise in forecasting, budgeting, NPVs, and long-term planning processes, financial performance, and capital budgeting.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite; preference for experience with additional analytical tools such as OLAP tools, budgeting software, etc.
Experience working in a matrix relationship and on several teams simultaneously with high tolerance for ambiguity and comfortable working independently and in teams. *Education:
Masters degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Eight years related experience of increased responsibility for financial planning, analysis, strategy development and corporate finance in a large healthcare delivery system.
