Job Description

Volunteers of America - Ohio and Indiana seeks an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional to join its expanding team. The Director of Behavioral Health, Safety and Security is responsible for assisting the Behavioral Health Senior Director, Residential Services in managing operations of facilities, properties and offices, owned or leased by the organization. The Director of Behavioral Health, Safety and Security manages and serves as liaison for preventative maintenance, grounds and building security, and safety issues/concerns. 
The Director of Behavioral Health, Safety and Security manages a safe and efficient living environment, essential to the performance of the organization, as well as responsible for maintaining operational compliance with the CARF, DMHA, Medicaid, state, federal, childcare provider standards and life safety codes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field and at least five (5) years supervisory experience with managing large and detailed projects, properties, contracts and staff. Position requires knowledge of facilities and security management, health and safety requirements. Supervisory experience required. Excellent communication and administrative skills are essential.
