Director of Nursing

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Director of
Nursing for our beautiful and well established nursing home near Greenwich, CT.
to join our dynamic team of professionals!  The Director of Nursing Services will
manage nursing services from the perspective of the facility as a whole, while
leading, collaborating, integrating, facilitating and evaluating nursing
services to support the growth and maintenance of professional nursing
practices.    Major job responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, the following:Supervise the
nursing staff and inform them of new policies and proceduresRecruitment,
retention, and training of nursesEnsure that
the legal procedures, nursing practices, and work standards are met as per
facility policies and procedures and all regulatory requirementsCollaborate
with the healthcare facility management team in leading the clinical teamManage
resident data and medical records.Participates
in the administration of the health care facility as a full member of the
executive team. Participates
in the strategic and long range planning of the health care facility. Provide
leadership and participates in the determination of clinical and administrative
nursing goals and directions. Ensures
the ongoing evaluation and innovation of services provided by organized nursing
services and the organization, and promotes continuous quality improvement. Facilitates
the conduct, dissemination, and utilization of research in the areas of
nursing, health, and management systems.  RequirementsMinimum BSNMasters preferred from an accredited school of nursingCurrent Connecticut RN license in good standingExcellent written and oral communication skills with the
ability to plan, organize and implement policies and proceduresPossess a willingness to learn and take direction from
Regional VP Clinical ServicesMaintain a cooperative relationship among health care
team members by communicating information, responding to requests, building
rapport, participating in team projects and problem-solvingMust possess strong leadership qualities, be a good judge
of character and possess good conflict resolution skills  Must have minimum 3-5 years experience at the nursing
management level in a healthcare facility- hospital or nursing facility  About us:Salary commensurate with experience
