SOVAH Health - Martinsville

Provides and promotes employee health programs to employees, physicians, volunteers and students.  Supports the worker’s compensation program and OSHA log for Sovah Health - Martinsville.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current license from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
            Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work under stress; maintain emotional control. Demonstrates ethical and professional behavioral characteristics and attitude

             Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required. Required Skills
Licenses: Licensed or certified healthcare professional (registered nurse, nurse practitioner) with current registration/certification in good standing with the appropriate licensing board /certification/ governing body (e.g. state/provincial medical licensure; state/provincial nursing association or board, etc.)

Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and/or irregular hours. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of three years experience in nursing required. Experience in employee health, occupational health preferred.
