Job Description

Valley View Medical Center

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Performs any other task as assigned by Management.

Reports to: The Licensed Practical Nurse is directly accountable to the primary RN, Department Director / Clinical Coordinator, and is ultimately responsible to the Director of Inpatient Acute care.

Job Requirements


Minimum Education

X High school diploma or equivalent X Required

X Accredited LPN/LVN program and successfully completed and passed the NCLEX-PN exam X Required


Required Skills

Certifications:

X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association XREQUIRED

X EKG exam at time of hire

X APEX Innovations assigned and completed within 90 days of hire

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Licenses

[Arizona, United States] Licensed Practical Nurses

LPN or LVN from an accredited program. Compact/multistate licensure accepted. License must be in good standing
