The Post Acute Director of Nursing is responsible for 24 hour effective operation of the assigned nursing department by exerting a leadership role which supports the hospital's mission, vision, goals and objectives. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care are the Post Acute Director of Nursing's primary functions. This position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
In the execution of job duties, it is the universal expectation that all tasks are performed with a patient-centered focus, while also seeking opportunities to continually improve core processes. Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include but is not limited to: holidays, extended shifts, nights and/or weekend shifts, standby and/or on-call.
