Providence Health Northeast, located in the suburbs ofColumbia, South Carolina, is home to some of the best surgeons in Columbia.This 74-licensed bed full-service hospital provides general surgery, orthopedicsurgery, neurosurgery, Ear Nose and Throat surgery (ENT), round-the-clockcardiology, and other surgical services.

Essential Functions:
Properly identifiespatient, verifies order, obtains and documents history.
Assumes responsibilityfor the physical and psychological needs of the patient communicating in aclear, concise caring manner.
Provides pre-procedureassessment and education.
Obtains requiredsignature for consent. Follows hospital policy and procedure to providecontinuum of care.
Consults radiologist forplan of care as required.
Observes the patientcondition while in the department and seeks help from appropriate personnelwhen deemed necessary.
Performs quality controlmeasures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images for interpretationby the radiologist, using correct protocols.
Operates the scanner fordata acquisition, reconstruction of images, and documentation of images.
Performs venipuncturesin accordance with hospital policies and administers contrast media under thesupervision of a radiologist/physician.
Follows hospital policypertaining to sterile technique, infection control and standard precautions.
Operates patient careequipment/devices as appropriate: suction, monitors, oxygen etc.
Maintains function andknowledge of crash cart and initiates appropriate code as required.
Adheres to hospital safetyand infection control protocols and policies.
Applies principles ofmagnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others.
Navigates the hospitalcomputer systems as is required for the specific job.
Processes and storesimages on PACS. Prints images as needed.
Adheres to hospitalpolices with regard to HIPPA.
Practices accurate andtimely completion of scheduled and unscheduled patients to maximizeproductivity.
Exhibit behaviors withall interactions that are in keeping with our mission and core values.
Maintains a flexible andhelpful attitude toward schedule changes to accommodate patient needs and theneeds to provide coverage; 24/7; 365 days per year.
Meets and maintains CErequirements per professional organization-ARRT. Assumes responsibility for continuededucation requirements.
Completes all requiredorganizational education, including CPR.
Maintains an awarenessof costs: avoids waste, enters all patient related charges, and maintainsequipment to avoid service costs.
Assists with and adheresto guidelines outlined by all regulatory agencies: TJC, DHEC, OSHA.
