Manager - Home - NJ

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:

  • Overall management of program, including on-call responsibilities for after-hours incidents
  • Supervises and trains Direct Support Professionals, including disciplinary actions, evaluations, reinforcement and recognition. Ensures that all staff working in their site are properly trained on individual
  • Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities and consults with manager and Human Resources as
  • Ensures the program is in compliance with applicable licensing regulations
  • Sets goals and deadlines for their assigned home(s) and preparing reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Advocacy – protecting and upholding individual rights
  • Provides oversight of all program documentation, including but not limited to: incident reports, behavior data tracking, maintenance requests and ISP
  • Works with families to coordinate visits, individual supports
  • Promotes individual choice
  • Assists in staff recruitment and retention activities
  • Collaborates with Behavior Analysts regarding programming and treatment plan implementation
  • Serves as a member of the administrative team
  • Serves as an after-hours on-call administrative contact for the residence
  • Conducts routine audits of medication administration


 

Regulatory/Compliance                                                                                                                          

Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines. Maintains confidentiality and security of all data, adhering to all HIPAA laws and requirements. Maintain data collection systems, education progress notes, and other pertinent data as indicated. Participates in opportunities for professional career development. Attends all training sessions as assigned.
