Medical Records Manager

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Executive Director, manages the quality and proficiency of the medical record representatives in the outpatient medical records department. Plans methods to improve work procedures, equipment and personnel needs. Supervises medical records representatives in the processing of medical record requests, documentation analysis and imaging for Ambulatory Services. Manages, with the assistance of team leaders, in the medical record department located at the Robert B. Green Campus.

Job Requirements


An Associate's degree from an approved program for Health Information Management, Business or related field OR two years of Medical Records experience required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Current credentials as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred. One year of managerial/supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of JCAHO standards and applicable licensure regulations are required.
