St Francis Hospital

Coordinating the planning, implementation and on-going monitoring and evaluation of patients admitted to St. Francis Hospital under the assigned service with the immediate supervision of a licensed physician. Responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to support and improve the quality of care provided to assigned patients across the continuum of care. Ideal candidate in this role generally focuses on female sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, and delivers primary health care to women from adolescence through childbearing to advanced age. This could include well-woman care, prenatal management, family planning, fertility, and urogynecology, as well as care for episodic or chronic illnesses and sexually transmitted diseases.Work to ensure an efficient and cost-effective course of hospitalization and length of stay for a select group of patients. Matches human and material resources to patient/client needs. Coordinate care through communication and collaboration with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies. Serve as a resource and educator for other professionals, clerical staff, students and community.

Minimum Education
Master's degree Required; Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programRequired

Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) 
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Preferred 
NRP Preferred

Licenses
Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse/Advanced Practice with the GeorgiaBoard of Nursing.

Minimum WorkExperience
Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Women’s Health preferred.

One (1) year of experience in at least one critical care environment eitherthrough employment or during clinical rotations required as part of a Masterslevel Nurse Practitioner Program.

A minimum of 24 months within the past 36 months of clinical practiceexperience
