The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) is seeking full-time Trauma and Acute Care Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to help staff a new Level 2 trauma center in Virginia.
GWMFA is the faculty practice affiliated with the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of George Washington University. MFA’s Division of Trauma Surgery consists of established academic trauma surgeons based on the GW Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center. We now seek to establish a new Level 2 trauma center and are looking for highly motivated, energetically advanced practitioners who will assist in establishing a trauma and acute care surgery practice.
Successful applicants will have at least two years of surgical/OR experience and be eligible for Virginia licensure. Candidates with current Virginia licensure are preferred.
- NP: A master's degree in nursing and completion of an approved course of study as a nurse practitioner. Current ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as an NP are necessary.
- PA: A master's degree as a physician assistant and completion of an approved course of study as a physician assistant. Current NCCPA certification and D.C. licensure as a Physician Assistant are necessary. BLS and/or ACLS certification required.
- Some previous experience is recommended.
- Excellent communication skills required.
