Peer Support Assistant- Mental Health Substance Abuse Advocate
Seeking compassionate individuals who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and who have a passion to use their personal experience to help support others.
To provide recovery-based Peer Support services and outreach to peers who struggle with a serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders who are experience difficulty transitioning from hospital/Jail to the community.
Provide support and serve as an advocate within the MHSA community. Share personal experiences, skill, strengths and resources.
Assist with transportation as needed and required.
Graduation from Peer to Peer Support Specialist Training, or WRAP Facilitator training.
