Other Qualifications: Five Years or equivalent previous background in areas of Nursing Supervision . Must have knowledge of Quality Improvement, supervision/healthcare administration, direct hands on skills, CPR and basic word processing skills. Demonstrates leadership abilities, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, functions independently, possess effective writing skills and verbal communication. Articulates knowledge of general staffing requirements, theory and practice; applies principles in daily program staff scheduling, demonstrates knowledge of hospital organizational structure including P&P's. Demonstrates interest and willingness to teach. Must work well with others using tact and diplomacy. Exhibits good conduct and grooming as a representative of acute care nursing management. Possesses insight for employee potential growth and development and demonstrates ability to do effective, impartial counseling as set forth by the company P&P's. Demonstrates ability to obtain and analyze facts and apply sound judgment independently. Possesses knowledge, competence and expertise to perform essential nursing functions including infection control, universal precautions and MSDS requirements. Must participate in annual competency testing and complete 9 required training modules for Co-Occurring Disorders.
