Responsible to Nurse Manager, or in his/her absence, the Administrative Supervisor. May receive direct instructions from Charge Nurse or Director.
Workers supervised: Surgical Technologists, unit coordinator, and sterile processing technician.
Functioning as the leader of the Care Delivery Team, the Registered Nurse assumes the responsibility of directing care for a team of patients. He/she demonstrates clinical competency, evidence of nursing leadership, and coordinates the nursing care of a specific group of patients. Nursing care reflects independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs. Precepts new employees as assigned. Demonstrates competencies in the use of equipment essential in the care of patient age groups as indicated. .Qualifications - Minimum
Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
Demonstrates skills in Basic EKG interpretation and recognition of significant dysrhythmias.
American Heart Basic Life Support Course and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course completion.
Current or prior experience in critical care is preferred.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with multiple complex demands of relationships on departmental level, as well as with internal and external customers.
Requires full range of body motion, including moving / lifting patients and equipment, manual dexterity, and eye / hand coordination. The physical demands of the job range from medium to heavy. Corrected visual acuity (including the ability to discern colors) and hearing required. Ability to cope with stressful situations.
Hours per pay period: 40
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm
