Resident Advisor


The Resident Advisor guides, assists and instructs residents in activities for independent functioning. Responsibilities will be performed in accordance with Interact’s CHS policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS


The most suitable candidate will have the skill, knowledge, and understanding to cover the needs of the population served; high School Diploma and 1 year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Associates degree preferred, ability to communicate with and relate to individuals with mental /developmental disabilities, good written communication skills, ability to work in an unstructured environment and display individual initiative, creativity, good judgment and effective operational skills. Certifications in Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety Training prior to the end of Probation Period, ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs and be able to perform client transfer after training, clearances in accordance with PA Acts 33 & 80, ability to provide a satisfactory physical examination statement prior to date of hire and every two years thereafter. Possession of a valid driver’s license from state of residence, a minimum of 1 year driving experience; a driving record free of at fault accidents and/or moving violations within 1 year preferred.



The rate of pay is $10.00 per hour. Hourly rate will increase to $10.50 after successful completion of the probation period.
