The RevenueIntegrity Analyst position promotes charge capture accuracy and proactivemanagement of the charge description master (CDM), requiring fullunderstanding of the revenue management function. Ensures that the CDM isaccurate and in compliance with all state and federal regulations for billing,coding and charging methodology. Coordinates and leads the charge master review processes, maintain theintegrity of the charge master by conducting periodic review, work withdirectors/managers to identify need for charge master revisions. Will maintaincurrent knowledge regarding changing regulations, billing/charging andregulatory agency activities, coordinate the process for annual CPT/HCPCSchanges. These changes will be educatedto the affected departments. Responsibilitiesinclude regularly performing 'chart to bill to remittance'audits through coordination with selected clinical and business departments andmaking recommendations to promote revenue integrity. This position also appliesaccurate charges and coordinates with revenue generating departments to improveefficiency of posting charges, evaluating trends, recommend and implementprocess improvements. Will educate onaudit findings and requirement to ensure that billing is compliant. Facilitates recommendations to improveprocedures, strengthen controls, enhance revenue and improvereimbursement. Submits appeals inattempt to overturn denials from payers.
