Social Worker/Therapist-Specialized Needs Unit-Adolescents

Job Description

Come join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System, the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system in Arizona. We are committed to our teamwork approach to provide a compassionate and therapeutic environment, as well as to offer a continuum of specialty programs throughout our inpatient, partial and outpatient services. Our facilities are licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency.

We are currently accepting applications for Licensed & Licensed eligible Social Workers/Therapists who have a passion for working with children and adolescents.  The children/adolescents that we serve will present with specialized needs based on developmental diagnoses such as Autism as well as intellectual delays. The successful candidate will possess strong group therapy and psycho-education skills, advanced knowledge of local mental health, DD, and IDD resources, have demonstrated clinical documentation experience, have a working knowledge of the utilization review process, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must possess assessment skills, flexibility, excellent time management skills. Candidate must be self-driven, work independently and have great problem solving and critical thinking skills. Applicant must be skilled in case management tasks.

Per Diem & Full Time Shifts Available


Job Requirements

  • Master degree required.
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Arizona: LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT or LISAC.  
  • Will consider, MSW, LAC or LASAC or License Eligible with a master's degree if working toward licensure.
  • Two years minimum Social Work experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Able to pass a back ground check, drug screen and meet qualifications for a finger print clearance.
