Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images and physiologic data of internal organs and tissues for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Minimum Education: Graduate of Approved Program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: New graduate from an approved educational program, but prefer at least one year OB/GYN experience.
Certification/Licensure: ARDMS Registered, or if new graduate must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OB/GYN including physics within one year of employment. NM Sonography licensure required. Must be CPR certified.
