VP, CRM Application Delivery

Job Description

Oversee delivery of customer/stakeholder technology application development and maintenance functions provided by the outsourced IT vendor.  Drive strategic roadmap of customer/stakeholder facing applications to optimize application value and effectiveness against strategic initiatives. Build productive relationships with leadership of business units that leverage customer/stakeholder facing applications to define optimization roadmap and measure value of IT investment. Provide solution development oversight & governance to ensure high-value, appropriate application solutions are developed.  Effectively translate business requirements at a macro and operational level into technology initiatives that meet needs, timelines and or compliance mandates of the health plan.  Manage staff, processes, and projects within the defined best practices enforced by the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and Lead IT work behind all customer/stakeholder facing applications including development in support of business process enhancements. Primary applications are Salesforce and Salesforce managed package vendors.

  • Build solid relationships with business leaders and solid understanding of business processes and outcomes to be used in application development/management.

  • Establish solid understanding of future state capabilities.

  • Leverage understanding of Health Payer industry to create solutions to meet business needs with minimal disruption and highest ROI.

  • Understand enterprise technology landscape and future roadmap to be considered and leveraged in solution process.

  • Ensure quality of delivery for large enterprise projects; small departmental projects, AD/AM support tickets and enhancements.

  • Ensure the development and timely reporting of metrics to senior management for use in strategic decisions and monitoring of corporate initiatives.

  • Oversee execution and status reporting of corporate initiatives and projects. 

  • Ensures that executive management is regularly and fully informed regarding project status, progress and results.

  • Monitor performance and evaluate the quality of IT outsource vendor’s business process and operational readiness delivery.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred

  • PMI-PMP certification preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in a Applications delivery leadership setting

  • Application delivery lifecycle experience including planning, prioritizing, release management, testing and operational readiness

  • Direct experience in payer industry; understanding of all stakeholder groups and interactions with health payers

  • Direct experience in application optimization planning/road mapping against company strategic goals

  • Extensive experience with Salesforce and Salesforce management packages (e.g., Vlocity) as well as standard integration tools (e.g.,Mulesoft or similar)

  • Experience training management and staff on project methodologies, processes, and best practices

  • Strong executive presence, leadership, and management skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), and the ability to influence and persuade

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and serve as a change agent to drive the business and technology transformation

  • Ability to interact directly and independently at the C-suite level
