Workpoint Wellness Liaison - Public Relations

Memorial Medical Center

Plans, develops and directs the implementation of three essential areas for MMC including Business and Industry relations and development; provider relations and industry; and service line growth. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business with the objective to drive incremental volume in service lines aligned with MMC’s strategic plan. The professional will represent the hospital, clinical service lines and providers via business referral sources with the intent to develop and strengthen relationships by taking a leadership role in our community. Explores network opportunities with businesses, industry leaders, providers, specialists and other health care systems. Enhances provider relations with area businesses making weekly visits to providers and area businesses to identify needs, internal/external obstacles in business growth and the retention of strong partnerships.  Serves as a liaison between the providers, hospital and business community.  Understands market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues. Acts as a lead role in enabling MMC to achieve their business and industry growth initiatives through effective use of networking, understanding of benefit plans and strengthening relationships. 

Job Requirements

Plans, Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration or Business equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience:  Minimum of three years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in health care with demonstrated experience fostering credible relationships with prospects that result in effectively meeting their needs and meeting goals.  Clinical experiences is a plus.  Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including healthcare experience or business management experience is preferred.

Licensure:  Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Skills:  Highly developed organizational, planning, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.  Must exercise outstanding judgment, analytical and reasoning skills.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, customers, and peers.  Excellent customer service skills.  Must work independently with minimal supervision and effectively function in a stressful environment.  Ability to work with multiple computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others as needed.  Ability to enact a vision and see it through fruition.
