YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES DIRECTOR

Job Description


The Youth and Family Services Director is responsible for oversight and development of the agency’s services and programming for children, youth and family. The following duties will apply:
Duties
  1. Develop, direct and supervise services for children, family and youth including Adult HCBS and Children’s CFTSS and HCBS programs.
  2. Develop and maintain Policies & Procedures for all supervised programs.
  3. Develop and maintain acceptable standards of practice for program planning, implementation and evaluation.
  4. Develop and maintain statistical and performance reporting systems related to supervised services and assures programmatic success with attaining monthly program performance and statistical goals and objectives, including required reporting for external fiscal supports as appropriate.

5. Maintains knowledge of agency developments and community needs.

6. Develops and maintains positive and effective relationships with community groups, referral sources and service agencies.

7. Provides Direct Care as needed to support program growth and sustainability.

8. Demonstrates professionalism by providing quality service and care with respect and dignity for the clients and as a representative of FLACRA.

9. Responsible for providing a positive work environment reflective of the organization’s mission and values and fosters relationships between departments to assure continuity of care.Recruits, screens and interviews prospective staff. Assess staff training needs and assist in the development of those needs as well as training of all new direct reports. Responsible for professional development and clinical growth of all program staff.

10. Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Public Relations coordinator and participates in community presentations and training programs.

11. Serves on the Management Team to provide input and implementation of the organization’s Strategic Plan and direction, departmental business work plans.

  1. Assures that all policies, procedures and practices conform to Federal, State, county and local laws and codes.

Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Mental Health Professional and a preferred prior experience in behavioral health program management and development. Valid NYS Drivers’ License. Bilingual English / Spanish a plus.
